I believe deeply in the potential of every student and in our responsibility to create schools where children are known, challenged, supported, and inspired. In Chappaqua, we are fortunate to have exceptional faculty and staff, engaged families, and a community that places tremendous value on education. Together, we hold ourselves to high standards while continually asking how we can make the experience of school even better for our students.

Our work is grounded in a simple belief: students should be active participants in their learning. We want them engaged in authentic and rigorous experiences that encourage them to think critically, ask meaningful questions, take intellectual risks, solve problems, and apply their learning beyond the classroom. Just as importantly, we want our students to develop the confidence, empathy, and sense of responsibility necessary to contribute to their communities and advocate for themselves and others.

Excellence also requires us to keep evolving. We continually examine our programs, practices, opportunities, and learning environments to ensure they reflect what our students need today and will need in the future. We value the expertise of our faculty and staff, the voices of our students and families, and partnerships with experts who challenge our thinking and help us grow.

After nearly a decade as Superintendent, I remain incredibly proud of this District and energized by what lies ahead. It is a privilege to serve a community that cares so deeply about its schools and, most importantly, about its children.
