Fourth Grade Legacy Project

The Fourth Grade Legacy Project, formerly known as The Art Beautification Project, started after the creation  of the Chappaqua Mural project in 2007 as a tribute to Mark Soss commemorating his principal-ship of twenty-nine years at Roaring Brook Elementary School.

Chappaqua Mural created by students 2007

After the installation of the Chappaqua Mural, the Fourth Grade Art Beautification Project was conceptualized through the initiative of then RB PTA Chair Diane Wendel. Over the years, it became an incredible legacy on its own.  Each year a fourth grade class leaves behind a creative work of art contributing to the beautification of our school. It has evolved over the years in many different art disciplines, but always enhances the beauty of our school community.

"Hooray! We are the kids from Roaring Brook!"
