Resolution:

BE IT RESOLVED that, the Board of Education hereby authorizes the attached Agreements for Services for the individuals and agencies listed below effective for the 2017/2018 school year, or earlier at the discretion of the Board of Education:

  • Westchester Institute for Human Development (Assistive Technology)
  • Westchester Institute for Human Development (Applied Behavior Analysis Services, Specialized Instruction, Parent Training and Counseling)

Resolution:

BE IT RESOLVED that the probationary term of Reading Teacher, Gina Busolt, shall be amended to terminate on August 31, 2019, based upon receipt of proof of tenure in a New York State public school district.

Resignation:

  • Ms. Sheila Larkin, Teaching Assistant, Horace Greeley High School, effective September 5, 2017.

Appointment: Probationary

  • Ms. Michele Fishman, Teacher of Science, Horace Greeley High School, to a probationary appointment in the tenure area of Science effective September 5, 2017 through September 4, 2021, subject to receipt of composite or overall annual professional performance review ratings pursuant to Education law Section 3012-c and/or 3012-d of either effective or highly effective in at least three (3) of the four (4) proceeding years, and if the probationer receives an ineffective composite or overall rating in the final year of the probationary period he or she shall not be eligible for tenure at that time.

Appointment: Teaching Assistant

  • Ms. Victoria DeMagistris, Teaching Assistant, Horace Greeley High School, effective September 6, 2017.
  • Appointment: Part Time

    • Ms. Allison Mitchell, (.5) Teacher of English, Robert E. Bell Middle School, effective August 31, 2017 through June 30, 2018 (or earlier at the discretion of the Board of Education).
    • Mr. Felix Nicodemo, (.5) Teacher of Physical Education, Horace Greeley High School, effective September 5, 2017 through June 30, 2018 (or earlier at the discretion of the Board of Education).

Appointments:

  • Laura LoBreglio - Attendance Clerk - Horace Greeley High School, 35 hours per week (Session), effective August 20, 2017.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education hereby appoints the individual listed below as a per diem clerical substitute to be employed on an "as needed" basis, effective August 30, 2017. The salary is $15.00 per hour:

  • Bette-Ann Rice

Request for Discretionary Leave of Absence:

  • Laura LoBreglio, Attendance Clerk - Horace Greeley High School, effective August 20, 2017 through September 4, 2017, without pay.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves a new postage meter agreement with Pitney Bowes for Westorchard Elementary School, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

5.3

WHEREAS, the District owns the attached list of items which are no longer useful or necessary for school district purposes and of no value to the School District;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board hereby declares such items to be surplus property and of no value to the School District and authorizes the disposal of such equipment in a prudent manner in accordance with law.

5.4

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves a new copier agreement with Xerox Financial Services, LLC., for the athletic office at Horace Greeley High School, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

5.5

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education approves the Contract for Independent Contractor Services with George McClosky, to perform consulting services for Professional Development, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

5.6

Approve gift from Greeley Class of 2017 to the Chappaqua Central School District in the amount of $1,552.90.

5.7

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education approves the Agreement for Services with Angelo (A.J.) Juliani, for a speaking engagement, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.
