A message from the Superintendent
Superintendent's Update #2
August 22, 2022
Dear Chappaqua Central School District Community,
I hope this email finds you and your family well. This afternoon, the New York State Education Department and New York State Department of Health released pandemic guidance for the 2022-2023 academic year.
You can access the NYS Department of Health and Education Department’s guidance documents below:
- NYSDOH & NYSED: 2022-2023 School Year COVID Joint DOH-SED Letter to Schools
- NYSDOH: 2022-2023 Frequently Asked Questions related to COVID-19
- NYSDOH: What Parents/Caregivers Should Know about COVID Mitigation Strategies for the 2022-2023 School Year
Our administrative team will analyze and use this guidance to inform our 2022/23 planning. I will update the community on necessary adjustments to our pandemic procedures based on these documents at our regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting on 8/31. I will also send a follow-up correspondence to families shortly thereafter.
Please note, all resources and communications related to COVID-19 are housed on our CCSD COVID-19 Resources Page. We will continue to update this page as new information becomes available.
Sincerely,
Christine Ackerman, PhD
Superintendent of Schools
