Coronavirus Update - 3/8/20

Dear Chappaqua Central School District Community,

The health and safety of our students continues to be our highest priority. Since the coronavirus began, our District and building teams have met regularly to monitor the spread of the virus and to ensure we are responding appropriately. The District has not been advised by the Westchester Department of Health or the NYS Department of Health of any concerns in our community that would require us to close. Therefore, all schools will be in session on Monday, March 9, 2020.

Please know that all buildings were thoroughly cleaned over the weekend. We will continue to clean our buildings multiple times during the day with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) approved cleaning disinfectants for the coronavirus. The buses will also be cleaned with this disinfectant and on a regular basis. I anticipate that in the next 48 hours, the District will receive additional guidance for us to follow. Once we do, you will be updated with the appropriate information.

If you have any concerns or questions about our response to the coronavirus, please contact your building principal. If you have any medical concerns or questions regarding the coronavirus, please contact your physician.

Sincerely,

Christine Ackerman, PhD
