1.    Call the Meeting to Order at 8:30 am

President Jane Kimmel Shepardson called for a motion to convene the special public meeting at 8:34 am. 

Motioned by Victoria Tipp to convene the special public meeting at 8:34 am.  Seconded by Holly McCall.  Motion carried 4-0.  Board Member Warren Messner was absent.

2.    Proposed Executive Session, subject to Board approval, to review the employment history of a District officer and seek legal advice from school attorney.  

Motioned by Jane Kimmel Shepardson to adjourn into Executive Session to review the employment history of a District officer and to receive advice from counsel at 8:35 am.  Seconded by Jane Kimmel Shepardson.  Motion carried 4-0.

Warren Messner joined the Executive Session at 8:36 am.

3.    Reconvene Special Public Meeting

Motioned by Jane Kimmel Shepardson to reconvene the special public meeting at 10:07 am.  Seconded by Holly McCall.  Motion carried 5-0.

Discussion: The BOE will meet to discuss and address three contracts associated with engineering work related to the sale and subdivision of the Zauderer property. Payments pursuant to these contracts have exceeded the initial amounts approved by the Board of Education as a result of additional requirements to obtain subdivision approval. 

4.    BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby authorizes its attorneys, Shaw Perelson, May & Lambert, to engage the services of a forensic auditor to review the proceedings regarding the engagement of certain professional service providers. 

Motioned by Warren Messner to approve Item 4 as stated above.  Seconded by Victoria Tipp.  Motion carried 5-0.

Motioned by Warren Messner to adjourn the meeting at 10:10 am.  Seconded by Hilary Grasso.  Motion carried 5-0.
