EPIC - Chappaqua Children’s Book Fair!
EPIC (Every Person is Connected) is a town committee with the mission to increase awareness and build community connections for people with disabilities and their families. Here’s the link to our page on the town’s site.

We are pleased to let you know that we will have a presence at the Chappaqua Children’s Book Fair! We will have volunteers, called EPIC Ambassadors, many of them people with disabilities themselves, participating in this wonderful community event. In particular, some of the costumed characters will be members of our community, as well as a “reading” buddy in the Gazebo at 1pm. Be sure to visit!

New Castle’s Merchant StoryBook Window Stroll
Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival Invites Westchester County Residents to New Castle’s Merchant Storybook Window Stroll. Sponsored by Financial Asset Management, merchant windows will be adorned with illustrations from favorite children’s book, A Kite For Moon, written by authors Jane Yolen and Heidi Stemple will both be appearing in the seventh annual Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival. Chosen by our local library, the book will remain in store windows until the October 5 book festival. Local volunteers ranging from store owners, Girl Scouts, Greeley students and Chappaqua’s Art Closet clients, will all work together to bring the characters in this nationally acclaimed favorite alive for all to enjoy.

The stroll starts at the library then crosses the street to the gazebo field fence where five to seven panels will hang. It will then cross the street at the Pizza Station intersection and proceed from Bank of America down to Villarinas. Families can walk and read an entire book with their kids. This is a great opportunity to stop in at Italian favorite Pizza Station and organic favorite Local for yummy organic ice cream as dessert. In the mood for something different? Visit our new Taco restaurant for delicious offerings. Stop in to say hi to our merchants and shop locally, while you stroll.
