Board President Janet Benton called the special meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

Recommended Action: Other

Gregg Bresner offered the following resolution:

1.1

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education hereby approves and authorizes the commencement and prosecution of an appeal to the Commissioner of Education to seek review of the refusal of Yorktown Central School District to pay certain amounts due pursuant to Section 3203 of the Education Law; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Education hereby authorizes Keane & Beane, P.C. to prosecute said appeal and hereby authorizes the Assistant Superintendent for Business to take all necessary and appropriate actions in furtherance of the appeal.

Alyson Kiesel seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at Horace Greeley, 8:15 p.m.

At 8:10 a.m. Gregg Bresner moved to adjourn the public meeting. Alyson Kiesel seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
