Board of Education Adopts 2023-2024 School Budget
The development of a school budget begins in the fall of each year. Through the thoughtful work of our administrators, program directors, and staff, the entire budget process is a collaborative effort that results in the thorough examination of our educational programs, practices, and infrastructure, as well as the guiding principles and operating standards of the District.
At the March 29th Board of Education meeting, the Board voted to adopt the 2023-24 school budget. The proposed 2023-24 budget is $138,296,286. This represents a $4,322,875, or 3.23% increase over the current budget. The tax levy (revenue from real property taxes) will increase by 2.11%, which is within the tax cap in this budget.
Our budget prioritizes continued excellence in our K-12 academic program and additionally supports student well-being and emotional development while remaining fiscally responsible. This budget is the result of continuous review and collaboration between our administrative team, staff and community members who have come together to ensure the highest standards of education.
