Senior Spotlight ~ Julia Sun

What are some of your proudest accomplishments during your time at Greeley?
Some of my proudest accomplishments include planning class events in Leadership Council. Whether it be our Bronx Zoo trip or planning for the senior prom, I have gotten to know so many amazing people while helping create lasting memories for our class.

What are your plans for next year?
I will be attending Wellesley College. I will be pursuing a pre-med track, and I am also planning to major in Economics as well as a minor in Computer Science. Since Wellesley partners with MIT, I hope to also continue my science research journey at MIT.

Think back to an academic experience that stands out to you. Why was it important or memorable?
Practicing how to present our research projects in Science Research was unlike any other experience. Learning how to present effectively is a skill that I will be able to use regardless of my future plans. The amazing teachers of Science Research helped me understand what separates a boring presentation from an engaging one.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
I hope to see myself surrounded by friends and family, working toward my goals, whatever they may be. I have always envisioned pursuing medical school, and I am very interested in oncology and psychiatry, but I know that college will also allow me to explore other interests. So, for now, I am looking forward to where my college journey will lead me.
