Sandra SepeThe Chappaqua Central School District is proud to announce Dr. Sandra Sepe as the next Principal of Horace Greeley High School, effective August 30, 2022. Dr. Sepe will replace Mr. Andrew Corsilia as he transitions to Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Leadership Development.

Dr. Sepe holds an undergraduate degree from Marist College, a Masters of Science in Education degree from SUNY New Paltz, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Manhattanville College. She is currently the Principal of Putnam Valley High School, where she earned tenure and has served for the last seven years. In this role, parents, students and faculty provided numerous examples of how Dr. Sepe fostered a positive school culture, strengthened the academic program, and mobilized the various stakeholder groups around a unified vision.

Before Putnam Valley High School, Dr. Sepe served as Principal of Millbrook High School and the Assistant Principal of Dobbs Ferry High School, earning tenure in both positions. Previous to her more than twelve years in high school administration, Dr. Sepe taught social studies for an additional eighteen years, including teaching advanced placement courses.

Superintendent Christine Ackerman shared, “I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Sandy again and look forward to welcoming her to Greeley. She has the skills, experience, expertise, and knowledge which make her the right choice for this important position.”

Dr. Sepe’s selection resulted from a rigorous search, which included a wide range of postings and advertisements; central administration screenings; small committee interviews with the central administration; large committee interviews with parents, students, Board of Education members, and staff; a writing sample, and a site visit to Putnam Valley High School.

With this thorough process, strong recommendations, and exemplary experience as a current high school principal, we are confident that Dr. Sepe will be an asset to Horace Greeley High School, our students, and community.
