CCSD Hosts K-12 STEAM Tri-State Consortium Visit

The Chappaqua Central School District hosted a Tri-State Consortium visit focused on our K-12 STEAM program from April 26-28, 2023. The Tri-State Consortium is a group of public school districts committed to systems thinking and collaborative inquiry as a pathway toward continuous improvement. This visit focused on our vision for STEAM, the implementation of that vision, and the impact of this vision on student learning.

“This visit is an opportunity for our District to reflect and consider how to improve students’ STEAM learning and experiences moving forward,” said Dr. Adam Pease, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. “We want to celebrate how our spaces and programs have grown to better meet the needs of our students and community, and to use the feedback from this visit to inform our next steps.”

The Tri-State team, which is made up of educators from around the region, reviewed our program by visiting classrooms in every building and meeting with groups of staff, students, parents, and administrators. They shared feedback and observations with our team and will be compiling a written report with recommendations and suggestions to help us evaluate and improve the STEAM experience for all of our students.

We are thankful to the visiting Tri-State team for their time and feedback and to our District Steering Committee, made up of STEAM educators and administrators from across the District, for organizing this exciting opportunity.
