Andrew LennonANDREW LENNON
Assistant Superintendent for Business

Beginning August 9, 2021, Mr. Andrew Lennon will join the District as our new Assistant Superintendent for Business.

Currently serving as the Director of Business Administration for the Mt. Pleasant CSD, Mr. Lennon went through an extensive interview process and it became evident that he has an extensive knowledge of financial management and planning, accounting, and budget development. Andrew has also been involved in contract negotiations, audits, facilities planning, capital projects, food service management and transportation.

Recipient of the 2016 New School Business Official Leader of the Year Award, Mr. Lennon served as district treasurer and then assistant business administrator for the Ossining UFSD, where his duties included financial compliance, reporting and audit readiness, and supervising accounting, payroll and accounts payable staff. In his previous experiences, Andrew has also provided direction to the treasurer, purchasing, transportation, facilities and human resources departments, and assisted with budget development, variance analysis, cost research, financial projections and capital bond propositions.

Prior to Ossining, Mr. Lennon gained valuable private-sector experience while working for IBM Corp. as a client relations manager and senior financial analyst. He also completed an international assignment in Tokyo where he provided expertise and training to the IBM Japan finance and executive management teams to support their significant reorganization.

Mr. Lennon holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Marist College as well as master’s degrees in Public Administration and a master’s degree in education in Educational Leadership from Pace University. He is a certified School Building Leader, has served as an adjunct professor at Pace University for its School District Leader Certification Program and was a member of the School Business Official Leadership Academy. Jessica RappaportJESSICA RAPPAPORT
Assistant Principal, Seven Bridges Middle School

On July 7, the Chappaqua Central School District Board of Education named Ms. Jessica Rappaport Assistant Principal at Seven Bridges Middle School, beginning July 15, 2021.

A broadcast journalism producer (CNN International) turned high school administrator, Ms. Rappaport began her education career in 2006 teaching English at the IN-Tech Academy in the Bronx, where she designed and implemented 90-minute literacy blocks to aid struggling readers/writers, introduced and taught the school’s first-ever AP English Literature course and instituted a data-driven instructional model for the 8th-grade team. In 2010, she began teaching 11th- and 12th-grade English in the White Plains City School District before becoming a House Administrator in 2016. House Administrators are responsible for the discipline, attendance, and student support service coordination for one-quarter of the building. Additionally, House Administrators take on additional duties to help run the day-to-day operations of the school.

A close colleague of Ms. Rappaport described her as a passionate educator and strong advocate for kids, one who works to harbor a warm and supportive environment for all students. She is adept at supporting both students and staff and is a reflective practitioner who embraces professional collaboration and nurtures positive relationships with all members of the community.

Ms. Rappaport received her bachelor’s degree in English from Binghamton University, a master’s degree in Journalism from New York University, and a second master’s degree in Secondary English Education from Lehman College. She also holds a School Building Leader Certificate along with a certificate in NYS Secondary School-English. We are thrilled to welcome Jessica to Seven Bridges Middle School!


David LeisDAVID LEIS
Associate Director of Instructional Technology and Communications

Mr. David Leis joined the District on July 1, 2021, as the Associate Director of Instructional Technology and Communications. This newly created position will help propel the District forward as we continue to implement state-of-the-art technology, practices and systems within our schools and classrooms.

Mr. Leis is a certified School District Leader, certified School Building Leader and certified NYS K-12 Educational Technology Specialist. Mr. Leis also holds an M.P.S. in Educational Leadership from Manhattanville College -- where he is currently enrolled in their Educational Leadership doctoral program -- as well as an M.S. Ed. in Educational Technology and a B.S. in Information Systems from Pace University. His primary responsibilities will include organizing District data privacy and Education Law 2-D compliance; coordinating data systems (including NYS information reporting and student information systems); managing the District's 1:1 mobile device strategy; and overseeing District communications strategies and platforms.

Before arriving at CCSD, Mr. Leis served as a Data Manager for the Elmsford UFSD, Director of Management Information Systems for the East Ramapo CSD and has spent the last eight years in Yorktown CSD as their Director of Student and Evaluation Data. In Yorktown, he served as a member of the central office cabinet, which allowed him to hold key roles on committees overseeing technology, curriculum and professional development. Mr. Leis has delivered professional development to teachers on various technologies and instructional initiatives, has been the co-chair of the District Emergency Response Team, and served as the Data Privacy Officer. As the District data leader and CIO for 3,500 students and 400+ staff members, he was responsible for meeting all NYS reporting requirements and executing 3012-d APPR plans. Mr. Leis also engaged in SLO development, data collection and supported the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in coordinating district testing benchmarks for both NYSTP and locally-developed measures. He has also worked with building administrators and teacher leaders to develop standards and protocols to drive consistency in measuring student performance and implement NYS learning standards.
