Parent Notification - New Positive Cases - April 30 to May 6, 2022

May 6, 2022

Good Afternoon Chappaqua Central School District Families,

Please see the aggregate account of our new COVID-19 cases for each building this week. As outlined in Superintendent's Update #37, the District will notify individuals who may have been exposed to COVID-19 in school when three or more cases may be linked to a shared space.

Given our increase in cases and the widespread use of home tests, I have adjusted our parent report to reflect total positive cases by building and cluster notifications sent to families.

Please note, as indicated in my notice on Tuesday (5/3) afternoon, our cases are increasing.

Staff and students may wish to consider masking indoors as a preventive measure until we see a reduction in our positivity rates. Furthermore, during this time, if parents wish to have their elementary or middle school children sit socially distanced while eating inside, please contact the building principal by email so that we can make arrangements. Home COVID tests remain available at the security vestibule at your child’s school.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Christine Ackerman, PhD
Superintendent of Schools
