Superintendent’s Update #38

April 17, 2022

Dear Chappaqua Central School District Families,

I hope this email finds you well. We look forward to welcoming our students and staff back to school tomorrow morning. As we prepare to reopen schools, I write to clarify our COVID-19 return to school procedures.

If your child tested positive for COVID-19 over spring break, please be sure to contact your child’s principal and nurse by email to access remote instruction. If your child tested positive over break and is ready to return to school, you must complete our attestation form. Students and staff who tested positive for COVID-19 over spring break may not return to the building until they are cleared by the building principal. Our nurses and principals will review all attestation forms tomorrow morning after arrival.

Our staff will be available to answer any of your questions in the morning. Home testing kits will also continue to be available for parents to pick up at the security vestibules in each school.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.

Sincerely,

Christine Ackerman, PhD
Superintendent of Schools
