504 Services

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is a federal law designed to protect individuals with disabilities from discrimination in programs and activities that receive federal funding, including schools. In our school district, Section 504 plays a crucial role in ensuring that students with disabilities have equal access to education and school activities.

Students who have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, including learning, are eligible for protections and accommodations under Section 504.

More information about the 504 process can be found on the Referral Process website. For questions around referrals, please contact your child's school counselor, school psychologist, or Assistant Principal.
