Clerical & Civil Service

Our support staff - including both competitive and non-competitive civil service positions - are essential to the success of our schools. Positions may include Office Assistants, Secretaries, Teacher Aides, Computer Lab Aides, and more. 

Ideal candidates are organized, efficient, possess strong communication skills, and are committed to providing the essential support that keeps our educational system running smoothly. 

Candidates must hold the appropriate Civil Service title to apply for Civil Service positions. Job titles and descriptions can be found in the Westchester County Local Job Descriptions. Hiring Proccess

  2. Resume Review
  3. Screening Interview: small committee interview on Zoom on in person for 10-15 minutes
  4. Committee Interview: large committee interview in person for 30-40 minutes
  5. Writing Sample/Performance Task
  6. Reference Checks: three references, one of whom is a current or former supervisor
  7. Human Resources Interview
  8. Westchester County Application for Examination/Employment (XD10) 
  9. Background Check & Fingerprint Clearance
  10. Board of Education Appointment
