The Board of Education recognizes the need to protect our environment. To this end, the Chappaqua School District fosters concern for our environment and our impact on its continuing viability.

The Chappaqua School District includes curriculum that promotes preservation of a safe environment. The District encourages solid waste source reduction, supports the collection and purchase of recyclables, effects energy efficiency and promotes the proper use and disposal of materials necessary for the appropriate management of the district.
