0110 - Educational Philosophy / Students With Limited English Proficiency

The general goals of education for all students in the Chappaqua Central School District are stated in the Educational Philosophy (Policy 0105) and Mission Statement of the Chappaqua Schools.

In addition, those students of Limited English Proficiency shall be afforded appropriate educational services in accordance with Part 154.2 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education. The District has established administrative practices and procedures for appointing qualified personnel to screen students for Limited English Proficiency.

Students with Limited English Proficiency shall be assured of the opportunity to participate in school district programs, including extracurricular programs and activities, which are available to all other students enrolled in the public schools of the District.
