CHAPPAQUA CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
BOARD OF EDUCATION

Wednesday, November 9, 2022, 5:00 PM

Present:  Board of Education
    Jane Kimmel Shepardson, President
    Warren Messner, Vice President
    Hilary Grasso
    Cailee Hwang
    Ryan Kelsey

Staff Members:
    Christine Ackerman, Superintendent of Schools
    Joe Gramando, Director of Facilities, Operations & Maintenance
    John LaPlaca, Altaris Consulting Group
     Jennifer Negrin, JJN Consulting

1.      Call the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.

Motioned by Warren Messner to open the meeting at 5:00 pm.  Seconded by Ryan Kelsey.  Motion carried 5-0.

2.      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby appoints Dr. Christine Ackerman as District Clerk Pro Tempore.

Motioned by Warren Messner to appoint Dr. Christine as District Clerk Pro Tempore.  Seconded by Ryan Kelsey.  Motion carried 5-0.

3.      Recommended Action:  Other

3.1    BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education approves an agreement with Brewster Ice Arena for the use of facilities during the 2022-23 school year in the amount of $24,995.00, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

3.2    BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education approves an agreement with the Harvey School Skating Rink for the use of facilities during the 2022-23 school year at the rate of $400.00 per hour, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

3.3    BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education approves and agreement with the Saw Mill Club for the use of facilities during the 2022-23 school year at the rate of $150.00 per hour, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

Motioned by Warren Messner to approve Items 3.1 through 3.3 as stated above.  Seconded by Jane Kimmel Shepardson.  Motion carried 5-0.

4.      Proposed Executive Session, to discuss litigation, the employment history of particular persons and matters of safety and security of, subject to Board approval.

Motioned by Warren Messner to adjourn into Executive Session at 5:03 pm.  Seconded by Ryan Kelsey.  Motion carried 5-0.

5.      Reconvene Special Board Meeting after which no public action will be taken.
Motioned by Warren Messner to reconvene the meeting at 6:58 pm.  Seconded by Ryan Kelsey.  Motion carried 5-0.
