1.2.1    HGHS Student Group Resolution – this is not an actual contract, it is a class project.
            
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves a contract with Pentec, for the purchase of 7,500 Everything Pens and 7,500 Basic Pens, in the amount of $134,775.00, and authorizes the Board President to execute the contract.

Resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools and Board President to execute an Agreement, dated November 8, 2023, on behalf of the School District, with Ms. Louise Brady, as presented to the Board at this meeting, whereby Ms. Brady shall perform contract services as an Art Teacher in the District for the period commencing November 13, 2023 and terminating January 19, 2024.  A copy of this Agreement shall be incorporated by reference within the minutes of this meeting.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education grants a leave of absence without pay to Mario Martinez from his position as Head Custodian, Horace Greeley High School, effective December 10, 2023 and through no later than December 9, 2024, and appoints Mr. Martinez to the probationary position of Director of Facilities III, effective December 10, 2023, for a maximum probationary term of 52 weeks.

BE IT RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board of Education hereby approves an Employment Related Agreement regarding Employee #6505, as presented to the Board at this meeting.  A copy of said Agreement shall be incorporated by reference within the minutes of this meeting.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby rescinds the resolution approving the resignation of Abraham Bejarano from his position as Office Assistant – Automated Systems at the Education Center, effective end of day October 11, 2023, and approves a leave of absence from his position as Office Assistant – Automated Systems at the Education Center, effective October 12, 2023 through October 11, 2024; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves the promotional appointment of Abraham Bejarano as Senior Office Assistant – Automated Systems (Spanish Speaking), for the maximum probationary term of 52 weeks, effective October 12, 2023 through October 11, 2023, in accordance with Civil Service regulations.

Use of the Consent Agenda permits the Board of Education to make more effective use of its time by adopting a single motion to cover those relatively routine matters, which are included. Any member of the Board who wishes to discuss individually a particular piece of business on the Consent Agenda may so indicate and that item will be considered and voted on separately, thus preserving the right of all Board members to be heard on any issue. It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following Consent agenda as submitted by the Superintendent of Schools.

5.1      CSE Summaries (2023-24 School Year) reported to the Board on November 15, 2023.
 
5.2      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves a contract for educational  services with Mahopac Central School District for one student (#xxxxx4) for the 2023-24 school year, and authorizes the Board President to execute the contract.
 
5.3      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves a contract for educational services with Mahopac Central School District for one student (#xxxxx2) for the 2023-24 school year, and authorizes the Board President to execute the contract.
 
5.4      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves a contract for educational services with Tuckahoe Union Free School District for one student (#xxxxx5), effective October 12, 2023 through October 30, 2023, and authorizes the Board President to execute the contract.
 
5.5      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves a contract for educational services with Westchester School for Special Children for one student (#xxxxx5), effective October 30, 2023 through June 30, 2024, and authorizes the Board President to execute the contract.
 
5.6      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves purchase order increase #221773 for Nawrocki Smith, in the amount of $5,586.25, and authorizes the Board President to execute the increase document.
 
5.7      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves a budget transfer request, dated November 6, 2023, in the amount of $224,000.00 related to two additional school resource officers and authorizes the Board President to execute the transfer document.
 
5.8      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves a budget transfer request, dated November 6, 2023, in the amount of $2,113,859.92 related to movement within salary budget codes, and authorizes the Board President to execute the transfer document.
 
5.9      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves CCSD Bid Award Renewal Recommendation #B2021-25:  Construction, Labor & Materials – Plumbing, for the 2023-24 school year to Anthony M. Notaro Plumbing & Heating, Inc., at various rates.
 
5.10      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves CCSD Bid Award Recommendation #B2023-04:  Coach Bus Transportation Services for Athletic and Field Trips for the 2023-24 school year to Hudson Valley Charter Service, in the amount of $38,300.00.
 
5.11      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves purchase order increase #222928 for Acture Solutions Inc., in the amount of $37,400.00.
 
5.12      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves a letter, dated November 16, 2023, to Jill Simon Shapiro, Administrator of the Town of New Castle in support of the Town of New Castle’s ChapLine project, and authorizes the Board President to sign on behalf of the Board.
 
5.13      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education approves an agreement with Brewster Ice Arena for the use of facilities during the 2023-24 school year in the amount of $32,783.00, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

6.       BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education acknowledges the following contracts approved by the Superintendent, per Board Policy 6085 – Purchasing and Bidding:

6.1      An engagement agreement with Conscious Campus for speaker Ken Nwadike, Jr. for Unity Day.
 
6.2      An agreement for services with The Mike Morrison Company, Inc., for professional development services during the 2023-24 school year.
 
6.3      An agreement with Hachette Speakers Bureau for a Unity Day speaker.
 
6.4      An agreement with David Greiner for independent evaluator services during the 2023-24 school year.
 
6.5      An agreement with Steve Goldberg, from the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center for Unity Day.
 
6.6      An agreement with the Saw Mill Club for pool use during the 2023-24 school year.
 
6.7      An agreement with the Saw Mill Club for tennis court use during the 2023-24 school year.
