President Jane Kimmel Shepardson motioned to convene the public meeting at 10:03am.
Seconded by Warren Messner. Motion carried 4-0. Board Member Hilary Grasso was absent.
President Jane Kimmel Shepardson motioned to adjourn into Executive Session for legal advice and employment history of a particular person. Seconded by Warren Messner. Motion carried 4-0. Board Member Hilary Grasso was absent.
President Kimmel Shepardson called for a motion to re-convene the public meeting at 11.13a.m.
Motioned by Holly McCall to re-convene the public meeting at 11:13 pm. Seconded by Victoria Tipp. Motion carried 4-0. Board Member Hilary Grasso was absent.

1. Information Business Affairs
1.1 President’s Report
President Shepardson noted that this was an Opening Day for Staff. She thanked Joe Gramando and his staff for getting everything ready over the summer. She also thanked the administration, teachers, staff, and PTA for their continued support.
1.2 Superintendent’s Report
Dr. Ackerman reported lots of excitement over the new spaces created in the schools. A video was prepared for posting to the website to let the public view the work completed over the summer. She thanked the facility and support staffs, administrators, and teachers for their many hours of hard work.
2. Committee Reports
Facilities - Warren Messner gave a status report on the various projects. John Chow provided details and reported the next meeting is September 5, 2019.

We welcome public comments, and in respect for each other's time, we ask that you limit your comments to three minutes. Board members may be contacted via email or phone. After the public comment period has been completed, Board members may have a discussion among themselves regarding comments presented.

3. Approvals and Ratifications
3.1 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education accepts the minutes of the August 7, 2019 Board Meeting.
3.2 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education accepts the minutes of the August 21, 2019 Special Board Meeting.
Motioned by Victoria Tipp to approve Items 3.1 and 3.2 as amended. Seconded by Holly McCall. Motion carried 4-0. Board member Hilary Grasso was absent.
3.3 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby adopts the revised 2019-20 Student Code of Conduct (Policy and Regulation #5030).

3.4 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby adopts the revised 2019-20 District Safety Plan.

Ms. Natasha Allison, Guidance Counselor, Seven Bridges Middle School, to a probationary appointment in the tenure area of Guidance, effective August 29, 2019 through August 28, 2022, subject to receipt of composite or overall annual professional performance review ratings pursuant to Education law Section 3012-c and/or 3012-d of either effective or highly effective in at least three (3) of the four (4) proceeding years, and if the probationer receives an ineffective composite or overall rating in the final year of the probationary period he or she shall not be eligible for tenure at that time, Step 12, C(BA+60) with Masters, $114,953.
Mr. Matthew Simone, Teacher of Physical Education, Horace Greeley High School, to a probationary appointment in the tenure area of Physical Education, effective August 29, 2019 through August 28, 2023, subject to receipt of composite or overall annual professional performance review ratings pursuant to Education law Section 3012-c and/or 3012-d of either effective or highly effective in at least three (3) of the four (4) proceeding years, and if the probationer receives an ineffective composite or overall rating in the final year of the probationary period he or she shall not be eligible for tenure at that time, Step 4, B(BA+30) with Masters, $80,578 (pending background check).

4.2 Non-Instructional
BE IT RESOLVED that, the Board of Education hereby authorize a discretionary leave of absence, without pay, for Clare Weber, teacher aide at Roaring Brook Elementary School, from November 6, 2019 (1/2 day) through January 5, 2020.

5.1 CSE Summaries (2019-20 School Year) reported to the Board on August 29, 2019.

5.2 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education approves a Service Agreement with Jewish Child Care Association of New York (JCCA), in the amount of $750.00 per placement for Job Development Service and $78.00 per hour for Job Coaching for the 2019-20 school year and authorizes the Board President to execute the agreement.
Motioned by Victoria Tipp to approve Item 5.2 as stated above. Seconded by Warren Messner. Motion carried 4-0. Board member Hilary Grasso was absent.
5.3 BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves the Contract with Pleasantville Union Free School District for the Pleasantville Summer School program for 4 students during the 2019-20 school year at the rate set by New York State Education Department and authorizes the Board President to execute this Agreement.
5.4 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education approves the Contract with the Briarcliff Manor School District for special education services for one student (ID# 703449) during the 2019-20 school year at the rate set forth by the New York State Education Department and authorizes the Board President to execute this Agreement.
5.5 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education approves the Contract with the Hendrick Hudson School District for extended school year ABC Program services for one student (ID# 703593) during the 2019-20 school year at the rate set forth by the New York State Education Department and authorizes the Board President to execute this Agreement.

5.6 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board President and Superintendent of Schools are hereby authorized to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with Summit Security Services, Inc. (“Summit”) which amends the September 13, 2018 Agreement for security services between the District and Summit, in accordance with Section 2801-a(10), Education Law, and authorizes the Superintendent and Board President to execute this Memorandum. A copy of such Memorandum of Understanding is incorporated by reference within the minutes of this meeting.

5.7 BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education Approves the Agreement with Anderson Center for Autism, effective July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020 for provision of a special education program based on the New York State Education Department and the Office of Children and Family Services rates as outlined in Appendix A of the Agreement.

ADDENDUM:
5.8 BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves a contract with Absolute Health Care Inc. nursing services for student ID #704604 in the amount of $65 per hour for a minimum of four weeks beginning September 3, 2019 with the possibility of an extension at the Board’s discretion during 2019-20 school year.
