President Jane Kimmel Shepardson called for a motion to convene the public meeting at 8:00 am.

Motioned by Victoria Tipp to convene the public meeting at 8:00 am.  Seconded by Holly McCall.  Motion carried 5-0.

Motioned by Jane Kimmel Shepardson to adjourn into Executive Session at 8:00 am to discuss litigation and matters of health and safety.  Seconded by Victoria Tipp.  Motion carried 5-0.

President Jane Kimmel Shepardson called for a motion to reconvene the public meeting at 9:02 am.  

Motioned by Victoria Tipp to reconvene the public meeting at 9:02 am.  Seconded by Hilary Grasso.  Motion carried 5-0.

1.    WHEREAS, the Board of Cooperative Educational Services of Putnam/Northern Westchester County (thereinafter “BOCES”) has proposed its tentative administrative budget for the 2020-21 school year (July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021).

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the BOCES tentative administrative budget for the 2020-21 school year in the amount of $9,637,111.00 be, and hereby is, approved by the Board of Education of the Chappaqua Central School District.

Motioned by Victoria Tipp to approve Item 1 as stated above.  Seconded by Holly McCall.  A roll call vote was taken.  Motion failed 0-5 with all Board members voting “nay.”

Motioned by Jane Kimmel Shepardson to strike Item 2, as stated below, from the agenda.  Seconded by Warren Messner.  Motion carried 5.0.

2.    BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education casts one vote for each of the three vacancies to be filled on the BOCES Board for three, three-year terms, from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023.

Motioned by Jane Kimmel Shepardson to add Item 2.1 as stated below.  Seconded by Holly McCall.  Motion carried 5-0.

2.1      BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education herby votes for the following Mary Cay Nilsen to fill one vacancy on the BOCES Board to a three-year terms, from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023.

Motioned by Victoria Tipp to approve Item 2.1 as stated above.  Seconded by Holly McCall.  A roll call vote was taken.  Motion failed 0-5 with all Board members voting “nay.”

Motioned by Warren Messner to add Item 2.2 as stated below.  Seconded by Hilary Grasso.  Motion carried 5-0.

2.2     BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education herby votes for the following Jennifer Rosen, to fill one vacancy on the BOCES Board to a three-year terms, from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023.

Motioned by Jane Kimmel Shepardson to approve item 2.2 as stated above.  Seconded by Victoria Tipp.  A roll call vote was taken.  Motion carried 5-0 with all Board members voting “aye.”

Motioned by Jane Kimmel Shepardson to add Item 2.3 as stated below.  Seconded by Holly McCall. Motion carried 5-0.

2.3     BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education herby votes for the following Richard Kreps, to fill one vacancy on the BOCES Board to a three-year terms, from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023.

Motioned by Victoria Tipp to approve Item 2.3 as stated above.  Seconded by Warren Messner.  A roll call vote was taken.  Motion failed 0-5 with all Board members voting “nay.”

Motioned by Warren Messner to allow a public comment period.  Seconded by Holly McCall.  Motion carried 5-0.

Motioned by Warren Messner to adjourn the meeting at 9:19 am.  Seconded by Hilary Grasso.  Motion carried 5-0.
