President Jane Kimmel Shepardson called for a motion to convene the public meeting at 12:35 pm. 

Motioned by Holly McCall to convene the public meeting at 12:35 pm.  Seconded by Victoria Tipp.  Motion carried 4-0.   Board member

Warren Messner was absent.

1.       Recommended Action:   Personnel

Dr. Ackerman recommended Item 1.1 as stated below.

1.1    Instructional
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board hereby abolishes a .5 FTE Physical Education position effective close of business on July 23, 2019; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board hereby creates a 1.0 FTE Physical Education position effective July 24, 2019.

Resignation:
Ms. Leslie Englander, Teaching Assistant, Horace Greeley High School, effective August 28, 2019.

Mr. Felix Nicodemo, (.5) Teacher of Physical Education, Horace Greeley High School, effective July 23, 2019.

2.      Recommended Action:  Other

2.1    BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves the terms of a Supplemental Memorandum of Agreement with the Chappaqua Congress of Teachers (CCT) bargaining unit regarding the position of Assistant Director of Athletics, as presented to the Board at this meeting.  A copy of the SMOA shall be incorporated by reference within the minutes of this meeting.

2.2    BE IT RESOLVED, that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to execute an Agreement with Todd Davis for the services set forth in said Agreement, as presented to the Board at this meeting.  A copy of such agreement is incorporated by reference within the minutes of this meeting.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby appoints Holly McCall as Clerk pro-tempore for the remainder of this Board meeting.

ADDENDUM

2.    Recommended Action:  Other

2.3    BE IT RESOLVED, that upon reviewing the whole record of disciplinary proceedings commenced against Civil Service Employee No. 1923, including the report of Hearing Officer Louis J. Patack, Esq., dated July 23, 2019, the Board hereby adopts the hearing officer’s findings of guilt upon the disciplinary charge and directs that a letter of reprimand be issued to the employee as recommended by the Hearing Officer.
